Dr. Kathryn Waters, a native of northern Wisconsin and graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, is now scheduling eye exams at her new practice right next door to the Eyeglass Factory in Santa Barbara.

Dr. Waters came to California for extensive training at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center and after fifteen years in the Bay Area, she has followed her heart to beautiful Santa Barbara. Dr. Waters offers a vast array of knowledge and proficiency in vision care for our community including pediatrics, contact lenses, and management of keratoconus. Non-profit work has been a key component of her career, including two years of service as the first optometrist for the “See Well to Learn” program with Prevent Blindness Northern California. Dr. Waters will continue her philanthropic work locally as part of the “Kids Right to Sight” program founded by the Eyeglass Factory. Outside of the office, you will find Kate enjoying yoga, paddle boarding, gardening, making resin jewelry, and cooking. She is an outdoor enthusiast, avid motorcyclist, and is eager to share stories about these adventures.
